In 2003, we launched Welcomemat with one goal in mind: “How can we help small businesses think like big businesses?” We developed a strategy of sending welcome packets to new residents who move into an area. But unlike other deal sites or coupon packs, Welcomemat codes each invitation so that businesses can gain real data and information from the offers redeemed.
We want our franchisees to focus on what they do best – selling to local businesses in their area. So we developed a software sophisticated enough to provide results, but simple enough for anyone to use. With 30 million small businesses in the United States, Welcomemat will help you capitalize on your own exclusive territory, giving you the marketing tools you need to be successful.
Most of our franchisees have experience in real estate, sales, marketing or business. They are self-starters who can work independently and like to work from home. Most importantly, they are passionate about the same things we are – helping local businesses make smart marketing decisions.

Franchisees will be required to pay royalties that are the greater of 6% of gross revenues, or an established flat fee per month. There may also be monthly fees for administrative or technology services provided. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and product and systems upgrades.
Franchisees may, in the future, be required to spend a minimum of 2% of ongoing revenues on local marketing; at this time, however, there is no required local marketing spend. We will assist you with your initial prospecting efforts within your territory. Franchisees will also contribute up to 2% of gross revenues into a system marketing fund. Collected funds are used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Welcomemat brand and fund the creative costs to develop any local franchise marketing materials.
No, we do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending agencies, on a case-by-case basis.
The initial term of your franchise agreement is seven years, with three five-year successor terms.
